You can get vegan sausages, ham, and burgers etc… pretty much anywhere in the UK, but here in Japan…….. you gotta make it yourself! Yes, we do have lots of Tofu and other healthy stuff to eat but come on! Hot dogs! All kids love hot dogs! My son was dancing when he first had a vegan hot dog in the UK. So here you go, for the sake of my son, I made vegan sausages! And they are really good! Well, they are better than what Australians call “mystery bags”, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), a class 1 carcinogen.
I think the key for this healthier version is….. konnyaku! check the recipe below and try them!
Cut onion, place them in the pan with other ●ingredients.
Fry them with low heat until It becomes bit brown color.
Place all the ingredients in the food processor, EXCEPT gluten-flour.
Blend them until it's all smooth.
Then add gluten-flour, blend them again.
Make a shape of sausages, wrap them with tin foil.
Steam them for about 20-30 min.
It's pretty much done!
You can keep them in the fridge for few days or freezer if you want to keep them longer.
★Just don't forget to fry them before you eat it!! ★
